Information: Last rites were held Tuesday morning at the Chambers Funeral Home for Mrs. Edith Sue Bish, wife of Harold E. Bish, who died Saturday at her home. Services were conducted by the Rev. H. E. Keenan of Kingwood and burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Surviving are her husband; three children, Thomas William, James Richard and Naoma Jean; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Frank J. Garretson of Ravenswood; two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Noll, Jr. and Miss Eva Lurline Garretson both of Ravenswood and two brothers, Frederick E. Garretson of Charleston and Ernest C. Garretson of Ravenswood. In ill health for some time, Mrs. Bish took her own life at 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon by hanging herself. She had finished a washing and went into the washroom and looped a small rope around her neck. It was said that she stood on a table from which she stepped. The woman's neck was not broken and she was choked to death. The small rope cut deeply into her throat. The body was found by the deceased's mother-in-law, Mrs. E. H. Bish and doctors said she had been dead about 30 minutes. Efforts to revive her proved futile. Mrs. Bish was reported to have telephoned her husband in the afternoon and appeared to be in excellent spirits. She had, however, been despondent on a number of occasions in recent months because of ill health.
