Information: Mrs. Bessie V. Morriston, 73, of Massillon, Ohio, died in Creel Nursing Home Friday night.  She was born in Ripley, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Snyder.  She attended the Massillon Baptist Temple, was a retired cook from Apple Creek State Hospital, served area restaurants and the board of education.  Funeral services were held Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg.  The Rev. Stephen George officiated at the service and burial was in Vaught Chapel Cemetery.  Survivors include four sons, Frederick of Salinas, Calif., Ray of Riverside, Calif., Mason J. Morriston, Jr. of Parkersburg and Robert of Holmesville, Ohio; one daughter, Bertha Bethune of Massillon; one brother, Hoyt Snyder of Sandyville; three sisters, Mary Butcher of Baltimore, Md., Ruth Robbins, and Vergie Patterson, both of Ripley; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Her husband, Mason J. Morriston, Sr., three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
