Information: Sarah Esther Parsons, daughter of John N. and Emily Parsons, was born July 1, 1854 and departed this life Feb. 2, 1934; age 79 years , 7 months, 2 days. She was united in marriage to Geo. M. Morrison Feb 15, 1875, and to this union were born three children--Lavana, Holly, and Rufus. She was preceded in death by her husband Aug. 25, 1914 and by Lauvana five years ago.  She was also preceded in death by her father, mother and one brother William Henry Parsons, and one sister, Mrs. Louise Stewart.  She leaves to mourn their loss one brother, A. T. Parsons of Ripley, and two half brothers, Frank of Ripley and Tilden Parsons of Given.  Two children, Holly Morrison of Leon, at whose home she passed away, and Rufus Morrison of Columbus, Ohio.  She also leaves 26 grandchildren  and 37 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. She was converted at the age of sixteen and was a staunch member of the U. B. Church for sixty-four years and lived until passing in her faith.  She has not been physically able to attend public services for several years.  Funeral services were conducted at the Rockcastle church and interment was made in the Old Rockcastle cemetery by the side of her husband.  The funeral was conducted by the Rev. C. C. Nichols.
