Information: With great shock to the community, the death Angel came and claimed a treasure, George Delmer Morrison, who died at his home near Pt. Pleasant, February 25, 1921, at the age of 48 years. He was the son of John F. and Elyinia Dane Morrison of Rockcastle. He was married to Delilah Jacobs, February 2, 1896, and to this union were born six children, one having preceded him to the great beyond. He leaves to mourn their loss, parents, J. F. Morrison and wife; three sisters, Mrs. Louisa Edwards of Leon, Mrs. Alda Jeffers of Middleport, Ohio, Mrs. Mae McCollum of Rockcastle; a wife and three daughters---Mrs. Mayme Clendenin, Roma and Reba Dane; two sons, Toral and Austin, besides a host of friends. He was converted and joined the U. B. Church at Mt. Olive in 1893 and lived a life that he did not regret, only regretted that he did not join God's army sooner. But now he has gone to join the angel band. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son and neighbor, and will be greatly missed. Mr. Morrison has been in poor health for some years. He was stricken with paralysis Thursday night. Friday evening he fell peacefully asleep in the arms of Jesus to wake in a land where comes no pain, sorrow or parting there. He was also a member of the O.U.A.M. Lodge No. 58 of Elmwood, W. Va. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved ones and hope they will live so as to meet their dear one on that shore where sorrow is no more.
