Information: MRS. O. J. MORRISON TAKEN BY DEATH AT HER HOME IN FLORIDA ON MONDAY- CORAL GABLES, FLA. April 21.  Mrs. Cora A. Harpold Morrison, 79, of Charleston, died at her winter home here today.  Mrs. Morrison had been ill for nine months.  She was born near Fairplain, Jackson county, W. Va., Oct. 12, 1872, the daughter of the late S. W. and Samantha Sayre Harpold.  On Oct. 1, 1891, she married Mr. Morrison and had lived in Charleston since 1910 when her husband opened his first store there.  Mr. Morrison founded a chain of West Virginia department stores which bear his name.  In 1920, he purchased the old Burlew Opera House in Charleston and remodeled it into a department store.  He died last Feb. 11 after suffering a heart attack.  A member of Christ Church Methodist in Charleston, Mrs. Morrison belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W. L. Smith, Jr. and Mrs. Fay M. Britt, both of Coral Gables; two sons, Carroll H. Morrison and Charles R. Morrison, both of Charleston, W. Va.; one sister, Mrs. Flora Shamblin of Charleston, W. Va.; one brother, John Harpold of Fairplain, W. Va.; and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  The body is being returned to Charleston for burial.
