Information: Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Vaughan Funeral Home for Col. Robert D. Moore, Rt. 2, Parkersburg, who died Monday afternoon at St. Joseph's Hospital. The Rev. John Hay will officiate with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Mt. Olivet Lodge No. 3, AF & AM. He was born in Jackson County, a son of Marguerette Murlon Moore Ramsey and the late Okey Moore. He graduated from Ravenswood High School and moved to Parkersburg 25 years ago where he began in the real estate business. He was owner and operator of Moore's Motel on Rt. 50 at Red Hill, graduated 12 years ago from Kansas City School of Auctioneering after which he became an active auctioneer. He was a member of the National Auctioneer's Assn., Mt. Olivet Lodge No. 3, AF & AM, Scottish Rite bodies, 32nd degree, Nemesis Shrine Temple. He was a World War II veteran and attended First Church of the Nazarene. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Gladys Robinson Moore; his stepfather, Fred Ramsey; one sister, Ethel Langfitt Ambrose of Parkersburg; and one brother, Eugene Moore of Lancaster, Ohio.
