Information: Lurrell Pearl Rector Moore, 75, of Parkersburg, died Oct. 4, 1988, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Darrell and Leura Frances Safteed Rector. A graduate of Ravenswood High School, she attended Alderson-Broaddus College. She taught school in the coal fields and in Jackson County before marrying Freeman Moore in 1939, when the couple moved to Wood County where they had lived for the past 49 years. A pianist, she was a member of the Wayside Church since 1951. She helped her husband in the Freeman Moore Builder organization, which specialized in building residential housing in Vienna and Parkersburg. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dr. Freeman Mark Moore of Cincinnati; a daughter, Professor Cynthia Jane Schobel of Mayville, N. D.; eight grandchildren. Memorial service was held Saturday at Wayside Church with the Rev. Edwin Bayer and the Rev. Bradley Shaffer officiating.
