Information: Harriett Smith Moore was born July 31, 1866, died May 20, 1939, age 72 years, nine months, 19 days.  She was the only daughter of Martin and Ester Jane Smith.  She was married to David E. Moore, Sept. 26, 1885, who preceded her to the great beyond eight years ago, June 24.  To this union 13 children were born, 10 of whom survive as follows:  Kennan L. Moore and Asa Moore of Ravenswood, Laura Williams, Evert Moore and Willie Moore of Belleville, Den Moore and Clara Flinn of Rockport, Inez Somerville of Sandyville, Fanny Burk of Richwood, Ohio, Rodney Moore of Rockland, Ohio, Oscar Moore, deceased.  Two sons died in infancy.  She leaves 18 surviving grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  Two grandchildren preceded her.  Five brothers survive:  Charles Smith, Parkersburg, Jack Smith, Reedsville, Ohio, Martin Smith, Nelsonville, Ohio, Will Smith................ Luther Barnhart, Reedsville, Ohio.  One brother, Benny Smith of Ohio passed away April 18, 1939.  She was converted when quite young and later joined Beech Grove church of which she was a faithful member until death.  She was a kind and loving mother, always ready to sacrifice herself for her children and others.  Had a kind word and a bright smile for everyone.
