Information: CHARLESTON - (World War II veteran) Adrian L. ""Red"" Monday, 83, of Charleston, died February 2, 2005, at the Hubbard Hospice House. He was born November 15, 1921, at Charleston, the son of the late Otho and Winnie (Garnes) Monday. He married Euneva Rhodes in June 1943, in Rome, Georgia. Mr. Monday was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 80th Division in Europe. He had a passion of farming in Jackson County. He was employed as a lab technician with Union Carbide before retiring. He was also a member of Watts-Warren Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Euneva of Charleston; daughter, Andrea and her husband, Billy Tucker of Dunbar; son, Greg and his wife, Sharon Monday of Kenna; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald and his wife Edna Monday of Sissonville and Carroll and his wife Ella May Monday of Sissonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hubbard Hospice House in Mr. Monday's name. A funeral was held Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Fisher Chapel United Methodist Church, Middlefork. Burial was at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville, with military honors provided by American Legion Post #61, Clendenin. Arrangements were under the direction of Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville.
