  <p>Information: Velma B. Miller, 75, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 30, 2002, in Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.  She was the owner of Vel-Art Kennell for 27 years and a member of Hickory Grove Church.  She was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Nelson Freshour and Mary A. Landis Freshour, and several brothers.  She is survived by her loving husband, James Kaire Miller; children, Charley T. Smart, Jr. of Ripley, Terry A. Smart of Sissonville, Brenda K. Smart of Charleston, Teresa A. Sisson of Sissonville; a sister, Geneva E. Rawlings of Ripley; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Services were held on Tuesday, December 3, at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Pocatalico, with the Rev. Tim Brewer and the Rev. Keith Edens officiating.  Burial in Floral Hills Garden of Memories in Pocatalico.</p>
