Information: The Rev. Marvin Miller, 68, of Sandyville, died Thursday in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. Funeral services were held Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Princeton with the Rev. Cecil McMullen officiating. Vail Funeral Home in Ripley was in charge of arrangements in Ripley and Seavers Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Princeton. Born at Lindside, he was the son of the late James Arthur Miller and Mrs. Eva Maude Little Miller, who survives in St. Petersburg, Fla. Miller was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton and was an active pastor in the Sandyville charge. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 134 and Eastern Star Chapter No. 53. Miller had preached in Jackson, Ritchie, Tyler, Mercer, McDowell, Pleasants and Marion counties. In addition to his mother and Polly Miller, his widow, survivors include two sons, Marvin G. and James A., both at home; three daughters; Virginia Mae Miller, at home, Mrs. Verna Price of Dover, Del., and Mrs. Betty Smith of Princeton; one brother, Vance Miller of Blacksburg, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Joan Myers, Mrs. Eva Alvarez and Mrs. Essie Smith, all of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Frances McDonald, Richmond, Va., and seven grandchildren.
