Information: Josie Sayre Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abijah Sayre was born on Cow Run, August 24, 1883; departed this life at Woodlawn, Penn., April 13, 1917, age 33 years, 7 months and 20 days.  She leaves to mourn her departure a devoted husband, a loving father and mother, five brothers and sisters, one brother preceding her to the grave.  The deceased had been in poor health for several years.  During her last illness it was not realized by her friends and relatives that the end was so near until a few hours before death came.  During all her sufferings she was never known to complain but bore them with patience and fortitude.  She was converted and joined the Hopewell Baptist church at Mt. Alto at the early age of 19 years.  She was a devout member, a willing worker, was loved and respected by all who knew her, both here and at her late home in Pennsylvania.  The funeral services were conducted by the writer at the Antioch U. B. Church, April 15, 1917, and the body was laid to rest in the Hill Cemetery at Cottageville, W. Va. to await the resurrection of the just.  X.X.     Rev. C. W. Ramsey.
