Information: Funeral services for John F. Miller, 78 year old farmer of Dog Fork, were held from the residence Thursday afternoon with Rev. Vaughn Fisher in charge and burial was in the Rock Spring cemetery.  Mr. Miller, who was one of the pioneer residents of that section of the county, died at his home on Tuesday after a short illness.  He was born Nov. 11, 1862, a son of Elihu and Louisa (Carney) Miller.  He spent his life in that section and was a highly respected citizen.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Phoebe Miller; two daughters, Mrs. Suge Stockton of Boomer and Mrs. G. C. Kennery of Covel, W. Va.; a son, Roland Miller, at home, and two brothers, Richard Miller and Ervin Miller, both of Kenna.  [from the Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
