Information: RIPLEY - (Former educator) Glada G. King Miller, 92, of Ripley, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Ravenswood Village Care Center. She was born March 19, 1913 at Gay, a daughter of the late C. O. and Bessie Cox Skinner. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and a retiree of the Jackson County Board of Education. She enjoyed quilting, walking, her flowers and spending time with neighbors, friends, and family. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Boggess of Ravenswood; grandchildren, Marsha Boggess of Charleston, Lisa Lanham of Alphretta, GA and Kevin Boggess of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kayce Boggess and Matthew and Michael Kennedy, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd King; her second husband, Russell Miller; a daughter, Sue Lanham and brothers, Chester, Earl and Roy Skinner. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2005 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Ripley, with the Rev. Charles Hicks officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Glada may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 205 Court St., Ripley, WV 25271.
