Information: Edgar W. Metcalf, one of the most widely known citizens of Ravenswood, passed to his reward on Thursday morning, April 2, after several years of suffering, aged 54 years.  He was a christian gentleman of the highest type and was worthy of the highest reward in which he was held by his fellowman. He is survived by his wife and seven children.  Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Sheppard Saturday afternoon.  (McIntyre)
