Information: ELIZABETH - Benjamin Roger ""Ben"" Meeks, 63, of Elizabeth, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008.  He was born November 3, 1944, a son of the late Harold Clyde Maxwell Meeks and Connie Lee Frey.  He was a 1963 graduate of Parkersburg High School and attended Parkersburg Community College.  Ben was the owner of Arrow Printing and Office Supply and a past employee of Kaiser Aluminum, Ravenswood.  He attended Elizabeth United Methodist Church and was a former Jaycee.  As a young man he was an active Explorer Scout and in the Navy Reserves from 1961-1963.  He was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the U. S. Navy from 1963-1967.  Ben was a master electrician by trade and enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, boating, and camping.  He will be missed by his family and friends and remembered as the kind, gentle Ben.      Survivors include his wife, Colleen Townsend Meeks; sons, Benjamin Meeks, Jr. and wife Brijal of Vail AZ, Kenneth Meeks and wife Heather of Tucson AZ, David Meeks and wife Wendy of Scottsdale AZ, and Douglas Meeks and wife Leigh of Lexington NC; brother, Harold Clyde ""Max"" Meeks, Jr. of Middleville OH; sisters, Sue Byles of Dahlonega GA and Robin Hopkins of Zebulon NC; three nieces; three nephews; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  A memorial service to celebrate Ben's life was held Monday, April 7, 2008, at Busch-Kimes Funeral Home, Elizabeth, with Pastor Jim Bruce officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
