  <p>Information: Davey Lee McWhorter, 72, died February 3, 2002, at CAMC, Memorial Hospital in Charleston.  He was born October 22, 1929, in Huntington, to the late William C. and Grace M. Safford McWhorter.  He was a crane operator at Ravenswood Aluminum with 30 years of service at Kaiser Aluminum and Ravenswood Aluminum.  He was a member of the North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood, where he sang with the church choir.  He was a U. S. Army veteran, having served in Korea, was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 5668 and a member of Greenhills Country Club.  He was a great husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife, Peggy Kachelries McWhorter of Ravenswood; children, David D. McWhorter and wife, Susan, of Raleigh NC and Shawna Motsch and husband, Bill, of Hilton Head Island SC; grandsons, David and Will McWhorter; one sister, Joan Sowards and husband, Jerry, of Huntington; and a host of family and friends.  Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with the Rev. Michael Curtis officiating.  A service will be held on Friday at White Chapel Cemetery in Barboursville, where friends will be received at 11:00 a.m.  Friends may call at Roush Funeral Home today (Wednesday) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.</p>
