Obituary Date: 1941-04-18

Information: George W. McLaughlin, died at his home near Ravenswood at 11:45 a.m., April 2, 1941, at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 23 days.  He had been in failing health for the past two years.  He had been a member of the Church of God at Mt. Hope since early life.  Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Miller and Mrs. Fanny Murray of Sandyville, two sons, Otis D. of Reedy and Eli H. of Vienna, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Buxton of Charleston and Mrs. Belle Shockey-Pyle of Ravenswood, 20 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held at the Independence church April 4 with Rev.
