  <p>Information: Funeral services for Merle Carson McKown were held Wednesday afternoon at the Vail funeral home and burial was in the Pine Hill cemetery.  Mrs. McKown died early Tuesday morning after an illness of several weeks.  Death had been expected, relatives said.  She is survived by a daughter, Agnes Kathryn McKown, age 13, a sister, Mrs. C. O. (Anna) Rhodes of Yakima, Washington, and a brother, Clyde Carson of Newell/Chester, W. Va. [ On 12 March 1923(JCMR) she married Grover C. McKown (1885-1959), son of Charles H. and Margaret Greer McKown.  Merle Carson was born in Meigs county, Ohio.  Both are buried in Pine Hill cemetery]  (29 Nov 1940)         Merle Carson McKown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will L.
