Information: Mrs. Mary M. McIntyre, 58, wife of James Everett McIntyre, died at the family home near New Washington, Ind., on Monday evening, Dec. 30th, 1940, at 8:15 o'clock, of a paralytic stroke suffered on Dec. 24th. Mrs. McIntyre was a daughter of the late Isaac and Margaret Long Sayre, and was born in Angerona, Jackson county, West Virginia on June 14th, 1882 and where she grew to young womanhood. She was married to James Everett McIntyre, July 8th, 1901, at Apple Grove, Ohio. She is survived by the husband and the following children: Mrs. Thelma Scott, Mrs. Beulah Henry, Mrs. Geraldine Annis, Mrs. Irene Noe, and Everett Jean, all of Nabb, Ind.; Herbert and Marion of Owensboro, Ky.; one brother, J. T. Sayre of Evans; two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Carpenter of Weston, Mrs. Charles Buffington of Parkersburg; and eleven grandchildren. Mrs. McIntyre was a member of the Christian Church. In 1920, they went from West Virginia to near Lexington, Ky., where they made their home until three years ago when they purchased their present farm and home near Washington, Ind. She leaves a host of relatives and friends in West Virginia besides many friends in Kentucky and Indiana. Always a good friend and neighbor, she will be sadly missed by her many friends and acquaintances. Mary was a kind and loving wife, and a devoted mother. Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock on Thursday afternoon, January 2nd from the Christian Church with the Rev. Wm. Davidson, pastor in charge. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
