Information: Madeline Mildred McIntyre, 90, of Ripley, departed this life Friday, February 15, 2008, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness.  She was born September 5, 1917, at Gay, a daughter of the late Clint and Gertie Waybright Harmon. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She made over 200 quilts and made everything from ceramic dolls and clothes to wedding dresses and tuxedos. She also made custom draperies and slip covers. She lived in Charleston from 1944 to 1961 and moved to Pocatalico until 1980. She then relocated to the Fairplain and Ripley areas. Survivors include her son Donald Eugene McIntyre of Hurricane; daughter Cleona M. Null of Ripley; sisters Lorene Hill of Rock Hill, SC and Lillian Fisher of Aplin Ridge; seven  grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Woodrow McIntrye, daughter Raynett McIntyre McClanahan, brother Charles V. Harmon and sister Bertha McIntyre.  Service at Casto Funeral Home, Evans and burial in Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville.
