Information: Kenneth Glen McIntyre, 79, of Cottageville, WV, departed this life April 24, 2000, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, WV. He was born June 15, 1920 at Angerona, WV, a son of the late William Melvin and Dorma Grace (Ferguson) McIntyre. He was owner and operator of McIntyre Welding in Ripley, a WW II veteran, where he served with General George Patton's Third Armored Division. He was also in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of the Angerona Christian Chapel Church and had served on the Board of Trustees. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Gladys Lucille (Shinn) McIntyre; daughters, Shirley (Skip) Hackworth and Dorma (Frank) Hughes of Cottageville and Marsha (Scott) Goodrich of Millwood; grandchildren, Glenn Hughes, Joshua Hughes, Georgia Hughes, Matthew Hackworth, Mary Goodrich and Andrew Goodrich; great-grandchild, Sadie Hackworth; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Enoch, Paul and Jennings; sisters, Alice Gunter, Florence Burnside, Madeline Karr and Eloise McIntyre. Services were Thursday, April 27 at 1 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre and John Gunther officiating. Burial followed in the Angerona Christian Chapel Church Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
