Information: Clara McIntyre was born March 30, 1887, the eldest daughter of Oscar and Eliza Jane King Sayre. Death came on Monday, June 25, 1945, at the age of 58 years. On March 22, 1911 she was married to Edgar Fox. Four children to this union survive: Glenmer and Joe of Cottageville, Otmer of Dunbar and Mabel at home. The years of her childhood and those of this marriage were spent at Angerona, but death took the husband on December 27, 1940, and she moved to Cottageville to live. On January 14, 1942 she became the wife of Everett McIntyre and they resided for some time in Nabb, Indiana. Recently they moved to Richmondale, Ohio and she stayed there as long as her health permitted. Poor health had beset her several months ago and she finallly became so ill that she was brought to the home of her son, Otmer at Dunbar, where she passed away. Besides her husband and children she leaves seven stepchildren and three brothers: Arthur of Akron, Ohio, Sam of Cheshire, Ohio, Elmer of Pt. Pleasant; four sisters, Ruth King, Edith Wilson and Lillian Keenan of Parkersburg and Florence Sayre of Cottageville; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives. Joining the church in early life, she lived the christian way, serving those about her with patient kindness and meeting every hardship without shrinking or complaining. She enjoyed the simple things of life, and showed her appreciation for any small token of love or understanding. She patiently bore her suffering with trust in a better future reluctant only at leaving her family. Though quiet of nature, she drew people she met and they were soon good friends. She was always ready to go to others at their call for help and gave her loving service unselfishly.
