Information: McGlothlin--Died Monday 8 o'clock a.m., August 17, 1885, of typhoid fever, Clarence, eldest son of James E. and Maggie McGlothlin, aged 8 years, 5 months and 4 days.  Clarence was sick but three weeks, the last of which he was constantly confined to his bed, and sinking rapidly, under the constant attention of skilled physicians and kind friends......After brief srevices, at the family residence, by Rev's Morgan, Lambert and Bond, Tuesday afternoon, his remains were taken to the new cemetery for interment, followed by an unusually large concourse of acquaintances.  Clarence will be missed by old and young of his friends, but none so much as his bereaved parents.   (from Jackson County Historical Society Newsletter, Volumbe 25, No. 2, Page 8)
