  <p>Information: Milford J. McDermott, 76, of Coral Springs, FL, formerly of Jackson County, died Wednesday in University Hospital, Coral Springs, after a long illness.  He was the brother of D. O. McDermott of Cottageville.  He was a veteran of World War II, a retired school administrator of Berrard County, FL, a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Fort Lauderdale and a graduate of Marshall University and Duke University,NC.  He was a professor at the University of Charleston and a teacher in Mason, Jackson and Roane counties.  He was a Mason.  Additional survivors include his wife, Velva; two sons, Douglas S. of Brandon and John Robert of Coral Springs and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Cemetery, near Evans.</p>
