Information: ANOTHER VICTIM OF THE OHIO RIVER - Again the Ohio river has claimed a life, Roy McDade being drowned at Millwood Monday afternoon and the body not yet having been recovered. He was employed on the construction of lock and dam No. 23, and while unloading lumber from a barge by means of a derrick, was so nearly struck by a timber that he became frightened and jumped into the river. A fellow workman sprang in after him but did not get hold of him. It is claimed that McDade only came up once and then sank to be seen no more. Persistent efforts were made to recover the body, but without success and it is feared that the hip boots which he wore will fill with sand and keep it from rising. He was 28 years old and last New Years was married to Miss Adra Nolan of this place and they established a home at Letart Falls, O. Coming from one of the old families of this section he leaves a host of relatives to mourn with the bride of a few months. A pitiful situation is hers, and calling for the sympathy of all. This morning one of his boots was found close to where he went down.
