Information: Edra Frances Suck McCoy, 98, of Ravenswood, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, surrounded by her children and family at her Pleasant View home in Ravenswood.  McCoy was the eldest daughter of Nannie Elizabeth Carmichael Suck and Edmond Fellows Suck of Silverton.  She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, farmer and friend. Throughout her 98 years, she raised eight children and 64 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  She grew up the daughter of a dairyman and established McCoy's Dairy with her husband, their five sons and three daughters.  The dairy was, at one time, the largest in the state of West Virginia.  She was married March 19, 1933 to Conrad Morgan McCoy in Silverton.  The couple raised their family on Pleasant View Farm in Ravenswood.  She was active in her community and was a Navy mother.  In 1984 she was elected Mother of the Year by the Ravenswood News.       McCoy is survived by her eight children and their spouses, John Paul and Mary McCoy of Ripley, Dorothy Ann and David Whitman of Ravenswood, Edmund Forris and Charlotte McCoy of Ravenswood, Dr. James Conrad and Joyce McCoy of Ravenswood, Joe Lee McCoy of Ravenswood, William Larry and Jane McCoy of Ravenswood, Connie Lou Wright of Ravenswood and Roseanna McCoy Beane and John of LeLand, NC.  She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is survived by her very special sister-in-law, Kate Suck, and her beloved sister, Dorothy Suck Davis, of Ravenswood.  McCoy was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Morgan McCoy; her parents, brothers, Lawrence and James Suck; and daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Howe McCoy, Ota Carolyn McCoy, and Gene Branson Wright; as well as her grandson, Joe McCoy, whom she adored.      Hours of visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, at the Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Ravenswood, with a one-hour visitation prior to service.  Burial will be in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.  The family requests that contributions be made to her childhood church, Silverton United Methodist Church, Route 2, Box 35, Ravenswood WV 26164.  Arrangements are being handled by Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood.
