Information: Lora Phyllis (Cutright) McComas, 85, of Cottageville WV, departed this life May 27, 2012 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness.  She was born December 7, 1926 in Lost Creek WV, a daughter of the late Orla Emmett and Lora Arvella (Hardman) Cutright.  Her husband, G. Paul McComas, and brothers, Orla ""Cutty"" Cutright and Rex Cutright preceded her in death.  She was a graduate of the Wheeling College of Beauty, a master beautician since 1945, a member of the Silver Haired Legislature, and a member of the Jackson County Democratic Women's Club.  She was the oldest and longest serving member of the Cottageville United Methodist Church, having served in numerous positions, including, Sunday school teacher, treasurer, worship leader, and church director.  She was a member of the Jackson County Senior Choir and belonged to the Easter Seals Society.  She was active in the Kith'n Hills Theatre Group where she used her talents as a seamstress for costume designs and performing.  She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 16, Cottageville WV.      Surviving are sons, Mark A. (Donna) McComas of Millwood and Eric E. (April) McComas of Winfield; daughter and her fiance, Paula I. McComas of Cross Lanes, and Tom Schindler; sister, Irene Paugh of West Milford WV; grandchildren, Natalie White, Paul (Amy) White, Carrie (Paul) Sotomayor, Wade (Emily) McComas, Richard (Ryan) McComas, and Erica McComas; great-granddaughters, Isabella and Gillian White and Rainee Riffe.  Services were Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans.  Phillip Scarberry officiated.  Burial was in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.
