Information: DEATH CLAIMS AREA MINISTER - Rev. I. J. McCollum, 80, of Cottageville, died Friday evening at St. Marys Hospital in Huntington after a short illness.  He was a retired minister of the EUB church and over the past 25 years had served churches in the Cottageville, Ripley and Leon areas.  He was the son of Daniel and Mercy McGrath McCollum and was first married to May Morrison who preceded him in death. In 1946 he was married to Rose Reese, who died in ?.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tressie Chapman of Lesage and Mrs. Faye Thomas of Leon; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Dunn of Huntington, Mrs. May Bush of Red House and Mrs. Della Hill, Leon; 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.  The funeral service was held at the Creston EUB church Monday afternoon with Rev. O. H. Carder and Rev. Homer Hicks officiating and the burial with Parsons funeral directors in charge was in the Leon cemetery.
