Information: Keith Cadell McClanahan, 76, of Millwood, departed this life Sunday, November 3, 2002, in the Ravenswood Care Center following an extended illness. He was born February 15, 1926 in Mar France WV, a son of the late Howard Mason and Mammie Katherine Gibson McClanahan. He was a retired pipe fitter from Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corporation of Ravenswood and was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, Local 5668. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a past master of Ashton Lodge #12 A. F. & A.M. Ravenswood, a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, R. Douglas Chapter #15 of Ravenswood, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Nemesis Temple Shrine of Parkersburg. He was also a past Deputy Grand Instructor for the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of West Virginia. Survivors are grandsons, Randy L. McClanahan of Millwood and Patrick McClanahan of Charleston; great-granddaughters, Lauren Aleen McClanahan and Jessica Cadell McClanahan; brother, Paul McClanahan of Dunbar; and a sister, Lois Slater of Frazier's Bottom. In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen ""Bubbles"" McClanahan and a son, Larry McClanahan. Services will be held today (Wednesday, November 6) at 11:00 a.m. at Casto Funeral Home in Evans, with the Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, near Cottageville, with Masonic graveside rites by Ashton Lodge #12 A.F.& A. M. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
