  <p>Information: FORMER COUNTY WOMAN DIES IN CAR WRECK - A former Jackson County woman died Thursday March 30, 1989, in a single-car accident in Ohio.  Becky J. McCarteny, 20, of Orrville, died near Massillon.  A spokesman for the Massillon Police Department said the car in which McCartney was riding, driven by Wayne E. Elkins of Ohio, left the road, sideswiped a unitilty pole and traveled 60 feet before hitting a tree.  Police said another passenger, Vickette Todd of Orrville, was critically injured.  Elkins is being treated for injuries.  Massillon police are continuing an investigation into the cause of the accident.  McCartney was a nurses&#39; aide at the Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.  Surviving:  husband, Brady McCartney; brother, Timothy Balis of Ohio; sister, Shannon Balis of Ohio; father, Leon Balis of Given; mother, Betty Williams of Ohio; grandfather, Russell Williams of Orrville; grandmother, Gatha Balis of Sandyville.  Service was held Monday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley.  Burial was in Raines Cemetery.</p>
