Information: LONG ILLNESS CLAIMS RIPLEY LADY - Mrs. Osa Dudding Mays, 82, of Ripley, died Saturday May 8, 1982, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley after a long illness. She was born May 18, 1899, in West Virginia, the daughter of the late John Calvin and Perlina Burford Dudding. She was a retired school teacher in Kanawha County and a homemaker. She was a member of Ripley Baptist Temple, Ripley Women's Club, Jackson County Historical Society, and West Virginia Poetry Society. She is survived by her husband, Lee Mays of Ripley; two brothers, Lloy A. Dudding of Charleston and Arthur Dudding of Reno, Nevada; and one sister, Mrs. D.A. Moore of Charleston. Services were held Tuesday at the Ripley Baptist Temple with the Rev. Ted Winkler and the Rev. John Bailes officiating. Burial was in the Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Parsons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
