  <p>Information: Freda Harper Mays, 82, of Ravenswood,  died Jan 1 at the home of her son, Foster Mays, Jr., of Ravenswood, after a long illness.  She was born March 4, 1904 in Roane County, WV.  She was a member of Grasslick Baptist Church and a 50-year member of Eastern Star.  She was a retired postmistress and schoolteacher and was co-owner of Mays Store and Mays Drilling Co. both in Jackson County.  Also surviving:  brothers, Russell Harper of Gandeeville, Thomas Harper of Harmony; sister, Ava Poling of Kentuck, Hazel Bohn of Willard, Ohio; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  Service was Saturday in Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with the Rev. Orville Walker officiating, Burial was in Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck.</p>
