Information: Frank B.Mays, a pioneer resident of the Kentuck section of the county but a long-time resident of Kenna, died at his home there Thursday, September 10, 1959, after a long illness. He was 83 years of age (83y,7M,2d). He was born February 8, 1876, a son of the late James Henry and Cleopatra Hatcher Mays. Mr. Mays was a retired farmer, a member of the Goshen Baptist Church and one of the outstanding citizens of the county. Survivors include his wife, Era Agnes Clendenin Mays; one son, Foster M. Mays of Kenna; one daughter, Mrs. Essie Fields, of South Charleston; sister, Ollie Taylor of Charleston, and three brothers, Hollie Mays of Kentuck, Luster Mays of Springfield, Ill., and Lee Mays of Louisville, Ky. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at the Goshen Baptist Chuch at Kentuck with the Rev. Vairl Winter and the Rev. Ray Harris officiating and burial with the Vail undertakers in charge was in the Goshen Cemetery.
