Information: Mrs. Mertle Massie, 76 of Mt. Alto, Jackson County, died suddenly April 23 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donna Wedge in Mt.Alto.  She was born in Ohio, daughter of the late Sharman and Viola Marshman Harding.  She was formerly from Fostoria, Ohio and was a member of the Fostoria United Methodist Church.  She is survived by one son, Glenn Massie of Amdven, Ohio; one brother, Clarence Harding of Fostoria; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  The body was taken from the Casto Funeral Home at Evans to the Harrolds Funeral Home in Fostoria where funeral services were conducted April 25.  Burial was in Fostoria.
