Information: Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Hopewell Baptist Church at Mount Alto, Jackson County by Rev. Noah Haskins.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Mr. Mason, 77, of Mount Alto, died Friday night in Holzer Hospital at Gallipolis, Ohio, after a short illness.  A retired marine engineer, he operated a fruit farm at Mount Alto after his retirement.  Surviving are his wife, Rose; and a sister, Mrs. R. E. Hale of North Tazewell, Va.  The body is at Casto Funeral Home at Evans and will be taken to the home at 1 p.m. today and to the church one hour before service.
