Information: Mrs. Alice Sommerville Mason, 90, of Ravenswood died on Wednesday of last week in Roane General Hospital at Spencer following an extended illness.  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Chambers Funeral Home, Ravenswood.  The Rev. D. Keith Clarke and the Rev. Michael Hailey officiated.  Burial was in the Ravenswood Cemetery.  Born in Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel K. and Margaret Campbell Sommerville.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ravenswood and was an honorary member of the Navy Mothers Club and the Ravenswood Woman's Club.  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Stewart and Mrs. Velma Hutchinson, both of Ravenswood and Mrs. Nellie Chambers of Huntington; one son, William Mason of Hillsboro, Ohio; three brothers, Lawrence, Glen and Earl Sommerville, all of Parkersburg; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mason in 1933 and by one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Van Vailey in 1942.
