Information: Lena Edna Benson, 80, Ripley, died Saturday at the Jackson General Hospital, Ripley after a long illness. She was born in Mason County, a daughter of the late James and Anna Stover Sines. She retired from restaurant work and attended the Sidneyville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Jackson County Extension Homemakers for more than 30 years. She is survived by four sons, Marion Thomas of Cottageville, James Thomas of Newark, Ohio, Alvin Thomas of Ripley and Bill Stephens of Evans; two daughters, Agnes Sazenbaher of Akron, Ohio, Noama Durst of Taverns, Fla.; one brother, Sylvester Sines of Columbus, Ohio; ten stepchildren; sixteen grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services were Monday at the Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery, Mason County. Parsons Funeral Home, Ripley, was in charge of arrangements.
