Information: George Branch Mahan, 62, of Ripley, Rt. 1, died Tuesday at the Lakin State Hospital.  He was born in Jackson County, son of Lena Morgan Mahan and the late Ernest Mahan.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mary Schollenberger of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Charles of Millwood and John of Ravenswood.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chambers Funeral Home in Ravenswood with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating.  Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery near Ripley.
