Information: Charles Ross Mahan, 79, of Millwood, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 1988, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness.  He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Ernest E. and Lena L. Mogan Mahan.  He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II with the medical corps and was a member of the Pleasant View United Methodist Church.  He is survived by his wife, Loretta Wolfe Mahan; one son, Roger Mahan of Millwood; four daughters, Linda Board of Evans, Marcia Tribett, Teressa Creel and Donna Jackson, all of Millwood; one sister, Mary Shollenberger of Huntsville, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild.  Services were Friday at the Pleasant View United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Pinkerton and the Rev. Norman Wilcox officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  Casto Funeral Home, Evans, was in charge.
