Information: Funeral services were held Sunday at the Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, for Mrs. Ethel Mae Benson of Route 1, Ripley, who died Saturday at the Jackson General Hospital after an extended illness. The Rev. William Eaton officiated and burial was in the Morgan Cemetery at Ripley. Born Mar. 5, 1901, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Skinner Balser and was a member of the Siniaville United Methodist Church and of the Ladies' Aid Society. Surviving are her husband, Clarence; six sons, Raymond, Orlando, Fla., Kenneth, Houston, Tex., Carl, Vernon and Ralph all of Ripley and Lawrence of Ravenswood; two daughters, Mrs. Viola McMahan, Lubeck and Mrs. Helen Thomas, Ravenswood; five brothers, William, Ravenna, Ohio, Jess, Spencer, Ernest, Baltimore, Ohio, Clifford, Chester and Jerald, Anaheim, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Bowman and Mrs. Gladys Mahan, both of Ripley and Mrs. Gertrude Crawford, Chester, 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
