Information: Funeral services for Mrs. Rosetta Casto Maddox, 89, were held from the Shepherd Chapel Church in Charleston Sunday afternoon and then the body was brought to the Grass Lick Baptist Church at Kenna where an additional service was held and the burial was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.  Rev. Lacy Burns, assisted by Rev. Hobson Fisher and Rev. T. W. Hayes, officiated at the service.  She was united in marriage to Rufus Maddox, March 16, 1882.  To this union was born ten children, five of whom survive:  Ola, Opha, Harley and Floyd Maddox and Mrs. Freddie McCallister.  Her husband died 41 years ago.  Mrs. Maddox  died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Freddie McCallister in Charleston on Thursday.  She was born at Given on July 3, 1861, a daughter of the late Elmer and Rebecca Phebe Cunningham Casto.  She was the last member of a family of 13 children.  She had been a member of the Grass Lick Baptist Church for many years.  Mrs. Maddox was converted and joined the Baptist Church when she was 13 years of age.  She had been a devout Christian for 76 years.  She was a devoted mother and a loyal friend to both young and old.  She spent much time reading her Bible and telling of the goodness of God among her friends
