Information: Hoadley Foster Maddox, aged 28, died at his home near Kenna early Sunday morning.  His death was due to tuberculosis, against which he had made a brave fight for the past four or five years.  Mr. Maddox, since his graduation at Marshall College, had followed a literary vocation, for which he was talented.  In 1909 he had published his first production, a book of poems; later he contributed a number of articles to magazines that were read with much interest.  Seven years ago he went to Parkersburg where he accepted a position with THE NEWS and was for some time its city editor.  In the fall of 1913, his health failing him, he left there for the south and for a time was telegraph editor on one of the papers in Savannah, Georgia.  Not receiving the benefit hoped for there, he moved southwest and spent some time in Texas and Arizona, later returning back east and locating in Tennessee, where he apparently was much benefited.  Last fall he returned to Parkersburg where he accepted the position of telegraph editor with the State Journal, which he held until the first of the year when he was compelled to give up his position and return to his home.      He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Maddox, who survive him, as do also one sister, Mrs. William Bradley, and one brother, Orville Maddox, of Fairmont.  The funeral was conducted Tuesday morning by Rev. T. O. Powers of the Baptist church and the remains laid to rest in the family cemetery.  Mr. and Mrs. Orville Maddox of Fairmont and Messrs. L. and I. T. Maddox of this place, attended the funeral.
