Information: Funeral services were held yesterday at the Drift Run United Methodist Church for Mrs. Bertha Angeline Maddox, 85, of Sandyville, who died Sunday at her home.  The Rev. Gene Eaton and the Rev. Ernest Marty officiated and burial was in Drift Run Cemetery.  She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Smith and was a member of the Drift Run United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Maddox in 1945.  Survivors include one son, Holly A. Maddox of Sandyville; one daughter, Mrs. Vesta C. Pickens of Sandyville; two step-sons, George of Barlow, Ohio and Harry of Sandyville; three step-daughters, Mrs. Marie Treadways of Williamstown, Mrs. Martha Casperson of Marietta and Mrs. Pearl Wilson of Parkersburg; one brother, Wick Smith of Sandyville; 29 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren and 57 great-great-grandchildren.  Vail Funeral Home, Ripley was in charge of arrangements.
