Information: Carl W. Lykens Jr., 63, of Caldwell, died Oct. 13, 1987 at home after a long illness.  Mr. Lykens was a World War II veteran.  Mr. Lykens is survived by:  sons, Randy of Fort Bragg, N.C., Roger of Federal Republic of Germany; daughters, Kara Foutt of Rialto, Calif., Brenda Fitzwater of Jacksonville, N.C.; brother, Bill of Caldwell; sister, Jane Smith of Ohio; six grandchildren.  A joint funeral service for Mr. Lykens and his wife, Betty Jo Shamblin Lykens was held Oct. 16 at Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Ben Gurley officiating.  Entombment was in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
