Information: WILLIAM LUPARDUS DIES IN HOSPITAL - William Owen Lupardus, one-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lupardus of Millwood, died yesterday afternoon in a Charleston hospital after a short illness. Surviving are one brother, Bobby Eugene and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Lupardus of Belgrove and Mrs. Ida Westfall of Gay. Rev. Arthur Harpold will conduct services at 2:30 p.m. today in the Aplin Methodist church. The Noble Long mortuary will direct burial in the family cemetery. Herald, 20 Dec 1940 -- Funeral and burial services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Aplin M. E. church and cemetery for William Oren Lupardus, 11 months and 17 days old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lupardus of Willow Grove. He was born on Dec. 15, 1939 at Willow Grove and departed this life on Dec. 2, 1940 at a Charleston hospital where he has been very ill for four weeks and under the care of a baby specialist. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lupardus, and one little brother, Bobby, at home, and several relatives and friends. [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
