  <p>Information: Thomas Earl Long, 62 of Sandyville, died July 26, 1989 in Camden-Clark Hospital, Parkersburg after a short illness.  He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Ripley.  He was retired from Union Carbide with 30 years&#39; service.  He was a former board member of Highland Hospital in Charleston.  He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.  Surviving:  wife, Alice Helms Long; daughters, Karen Brockman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Alison Leon of Morgantown; sisters, Ruth Lynn Case of Centerville, Ohio and Miriam Louer of Michigan City, Ind.; five grandchildren.  Private service was held Saturday at Straight-Tucker Funeral Home, Ravenswood.  Burial was in Long Cemetery, New Era.</p>
