Information: James Albert Long, 80, Vienna, died at St. Joseph's Hospital at 9:15 p.m. Friday following an extended illness.  He was born at Clover in Roane County, July 21, 1890, son of the late John Alexander and Ollie Hall Long.  He was a member of the 34th St. Church of Christ in Vienna and had resided in Vienna since 1935.  He retired from the American Viscose Division of the FMC Corp. in 1955.  He was a veteran of World War I.  He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alta Baker Long; two sons, Earle M. Long of Elkins and James L. Long of Beckley; one daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Olive) Barker of Danville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Brooks of Ripley; one brother, Marshall Long of Melbourne, Fla.; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.  Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the 34th St. Church of Christ in Vienna, with Evangelist Hunter MIller officiating.  Burial was in the Otterbein Cemetery.
