Information: Funeral services were held Sunday morning at the Sheppard Chapel Methodist church for Squire Lockhart, 86 years old, and the body was taken to the Ravenswood cemetery for burial.  Mr. Lockhart died at his home in the Lockhart community late Thursday evening after a serious five day illness.  He was born and spent his entire life on and near the farm where his death occurred.  He was a prosperous farmer and cattle raiser and during his years as a cattle producer he raised cattle which many times drew prizes at the Pittsburgh market.  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Lockhart; four sons, Kenneth of Sandyville, William and Yancy of Parkersburg, and Clinton of Radnor, Ohio; and three daughters, Mrs. Victoria Blair of Sandyville, Mrs. Mildred Hartley of Parkersburg, and Mrs. Nettie Davis of Ventura, California, who arrived by plane Thursday night.  There are also two step-children, Mrs. Leota Wells of Oildale, Calif., and Everett Province of Parkersburg, one sister, Mrs. Nancy Conger of Windy, 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  [Betty Kessel McIntyre obit collection]
