Information: Mrs. Ida May Lockhart, 78, of Sandyville, died Monday, Jan. 9, 1989, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Charles and Mollie Cooper Brotton. She was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Palestine. Surviving: sons, John C. Lockhart and Mark Lockhart, both of Sandyville, Orrin Lockhart and David C. Lockhart, both of Mineral Wells, Russell Lockhart of Rockport, Walter Lockhart of Parkersburg, Dale Lockhart of Madison, Ga.; daughters, Mrs. Everett (Izetta) Patterson of Cottageville, Mrs. Albert (Mary) Lemon of Parkersburg, Mrs. Lee (Elizabeth) Burton of Elizabeth, Mrs. Roger (Pauline) Cain of Mineral Wells, Margaret Lockhart of Sandyville, Mrs. Joseph (Sharon) Franklin of Cottageville, Mrs. James (Virginia) Prunty of Williamstown; brother, Ray Jesse Brotton of Apple Creek, Ohio; sisters, Clara Buchannon of Summersville, S. C., Georgia Showalter of Garfield Heights, Ohio, Franson Welch of Hendersonville, Tenn., Virginia Johnson of Mineral Wells; 39 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Lockhart; one son, Hubert Lockhart. Services will be 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Vail Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Rev. Garfield Prine officiating. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
